Face To Face – Tony Floyd Kenna and Jean O’Sullivan linked up in 1985, initially under the name ‘Soundproof’ but soon moving on to form a writing and recording ‘Duo’, Face To Face was born.
Kieran Farrell, Ian Bolton and Gerry Wright worked with the pair in Soundproof but when it came time to record in 1986 Tony and Jean felt they wanted to do something ‘on their own’. Slane Studios proprietor and musician John Dee did contribute to the recordings as did Don McKevitt who came along just prior to mixing. Face To Face released Dreams/Watch Me Run to critical acclaim and scored both National and Local airplay.
